Scholarship Application

The Federal Asian Pacific American Council (FAPAC) is offering academic scholarships for Asian American students who aim to excel in higher education. For the year 2009, FAPAC will award $2,000 to each of the FIVE (5) scholarship winners during its 24th National Leadership Training Conference on May 11-15 2009 at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Houston, Texas. Scholarship winners are encouraged to attend the award ceremony. FAPAC does not provide any travel allowances.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Open to all Asian Pacific Americans, who are U. S. citizens or legal permanent residents of the United States.
  • Enrolled in a U.S. accredited college or university as a degree seeking student. High school seniors are also encouraged to apply.
  • Attained a cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
  • Previous winners of FAPAC scholarships are not eligible.

Selection Criteria: Selection of FAPAC scholars will be based on applicant’s skills abilities and academic and special achievements.

To apply: Submit your completed application form, your essay, college transcripts, two (2) letters of recommendation/reference and your resume, if available. Your completed application packet should be mailed to:

Application Deadline: The postmark deadline for applications is February 28, 2009. Winners will be notified by March 31, 2009. We will only notify the winners and their winning essays will be posted on FAPAC’s website.
