Taiko Drummers performance at the National Gallery of Art on Saturday, March 31, 4:00 p.m., on the steps of the West Building, Mall entrance (FREE), and other musical performances scheduled during April at the Gallery.   

 

Also scheduled is Japanese Cinema, 13 films by many of Japan’s legendary filmmakers, all screening in the East Building Auditorium (FREE), first come, first seated.

 

The Music Festival and the Film Program are in honor of the exhibition Colorful Realm: Japanese Bird-and-Flower Paintings by Itō jakuchū (1716 – 1800), on view through April 29 only!   Learn more at  http://www.nga.gov/exhibitions/jakuchuinfo.shtm.
