Atlanta Federal USP is a medium-security federal prison for men located in the Benteen Park neighborhood of southeast Atlanta. It is a famous landmark constructed in 1899 designed by the St. Louis architect firm of Eames and Young which also designed the main building at the USP Leavenworth. The project was completed in January 1902. It encompassed 300 acres (1.2 km2) to accommodate 1200 prisoners.
